UMass-Lowell Goalie Owen Savory has been recognized for his outstanding work between the pipes with a nomination for the prestigious Hobey Baker Award. The Hobey Baker Award is given to the top NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Player. Owen has definitely earned that nomination with a save percentage of .948 (second-best in all of the NCAA) and an impressive 1.29 GAA.
Owen played for the Falcons for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons where he picked up a lot of hardware as a great keeper, including setting a single season wins record in the league.
